We have a few different cattle breeds on the ranch. We run a registered herd of Braunvieh cows, that we will sometimes cross with an Akaushi wagyu bull. A few of our cows have Angus cattle in their pedigree as well. By using these breeds, we have been very impressed at the quality of cattle and beef we are raising. In our opinion, the flavor comparison between our beef and grocery store beef is unparalleled.
We process our beef at a local small business that is a USDA inspected facility. This allows us to serve our community better and gives us greater flexibility with our timelines.
Beef shares come in 3 different sizes, 1/4, 1/2 & whole. A whole cow is divided equally across all portions and sold in their corresponding sizes. Visit our beef share tab in our store to get all of the info regarding share purchases.
We have a strict no returns policy on our beef products as they are perishable and we cannot control their environment after they have been delivered. Merchandise items may be exchanged for different sizes but customers are responsible for shipping costs to return items back to us.
Yes, our herd lives in large grass pastures and always has access to grass. Depending on the stage of life & nutritional needs of the herd, we may supplement with a ration that contains a higher protein forage, grain, vitamins & minerals. Our herd is never dry lotted & forced to eat large amounts of corn/grain byproducts that rapidly cause weight gain & in turn potentially jeopardize the health of the cattle.
We dry age for a minimum of 21 days to ensure the best quality flavor and taste.
Our beef cattle are never hormone implanted. We pride ourselves on raising quality beef without using added hormones.
We are steadily evaluating interest to determine if and when we may begin to ship products inside and outside of Texas.
We will be adding subscription boxes in the 2nd quarter of 2025. Sign up for our newsletter to get the latest info on when they will be launching.
